HOMECOMING AND 50TH DAY OF SCHOOL

What a busy couple of weeks!  We had a great time celebrating Homecoming Week!  The students enjoyed the dress up days.  There was a lot of excitement in the air.  We enjoyed a fun pep rally at the beginning of the week to get us fired up for the WILDCATS!

The students celebrated fifty days of school in a LARGE way!  They wore their 50's outfits and
learned about life in the fifties.  The students compared children in the fifties to now, wrote about their likenesses and differences, and used art to depict the attire in the fifties.  Students participated in literacy and math stations including doubles facts, ABC order, and greater/less than.  We did a lot of counting to 50 in different ways including 2's, 5's, and 10's.  The students even got to play some of the games of the fifties like Jacks, Hopscotch, and Hula Hoop.  The studens wrote recipes for making coke floats and enjoyed making them in class.  We concluded our day with a 50 second challenge of various activites including blowing bubbles!

I hope you enjoy the pictures from our wonderful day of fun.  Please click here to view the homecoming pictures:  https://photos.app.goo.gl/Uva38tqhx9ZciJGz5
