Pumpkin Time!
We enjoyed our pumpkin investigation followed by, "How is being a Christian like being a pumpkin?". We made predictions on the weight, height, and circumference of our pumpkin. We used the tools to see if our predictions were correct. We decided that pumpkins float and can even be transformed to a boat. We counted the seeds and carved a shining face on the pumpkin; just as Christ puts His light inside each of us to shine for all the world to see. He picks us from the patch, brings us in, and washes all the dirt off of us. He even scoops all the yucky stuff out of us just like we scooped out the pulp in the pumpkin. The students completed the activity by listening to the book, The Pumpkin Patch Parable.
