Happy 50th Day of School!
How can it be that we have reached the 50th day of school already?
We celebrated fifty days of school in a big way. Students dressed in their 50th day attire and enjoyed a fun-filled day of fifty activities. Students used a venn diagram to compare and contrast life today and that of the fifties, counted to 50 in many fun ways, danced to 50's rock and roll, listened to old records on the record player, wrote about children in the fifties and now, ABC order with 50's words, used double facts for 50's games, and used numeracy activities to sort numbers less than and greater than 50. Finally, students got to enjoy a sweet treat in the form of a coke float. We followed directions to make the float and then put the steps in order for a sequencing activity. Students finished the day with special 50th treats to take home and bubble gum blowing contest in 50 seconds.
Our first 50 days have been fabulous!
